Two men broke into a Tampa KFC/Taco Bell restaurant and tried to open a safe using a sledge hammer and a hand-held circular saw on Aug. 4.

Tampa police are asking for the public’s help in locating the men who broke into the store, located at 4302 N. Armenia Avenue.

The burglars entered the restaurant by smashing the drive-through window that is 3 inches thick.

They tried to open the safe using the tools, but were not able to.

Keith Anderson is a regular customer at the restaurant.

He says with the video, the chances are good that the bad guys will be busted.

“They’ll get caught because they’re being greedy, and, when you’re greedy, you get caught,” he said.

“What comes around, goes around. The best thing for you to do, work for what you want, not steal for everything that you want.”

The men had their heads and faces covered during the burglary.

One of the men wore a black Adidas jacket with the logo on the back and white stripes on the sleeves, green sweat pants, black gloves and a white clown mask with a black nose.

The other man wore a grey Polo jacket, blue Nike shorts, blue and white sneakers and what appeared to be a white polo shirt with red on the sleeves covering his head and face.

Anyone with information on the suspects should call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130. To be eligible for a cash reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS.
