A body discovered lying on the side of the road in Lutz Wednesday morning has been identified as a 22-year-old woman.
Deputies said Mollee Serafin was found dead around 6:30 a.m. near Sierra Pines Boulevard, just north of Lutz Lake Fern Road West.
The isolated road is in north Hillsborough County and extends into Pasco County.
Several people called 911 after seeing the body near the road. Detectives believe the body had been there for several hours.
Her cause of death is still unknown.
“We do ask for the public’s assistance. If they saw anything last night or in the early morning hours of today to please contact us at (813) 247-8200,” HCSO Maj. Frank Losat said Wednesday.
