TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — After 54 years and five months on the job, radio host Tedd Webb has decided to hang up his silver microphone and move onto the next chapter in his life.
On his last day, Webb was surrounded by a studio full of adoring fans, that included Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn, Hooters waitresses and his sidekick for more than two decades, Jack Harris.
When Webb broke into the business he was given the option of three names to go by on the radio. The names included Ricky Robbins, Danny Miller and Tedd Webb. He said he picked the name Tedd Webb because other people were already going by the other names and he wanted to make a name for himself.
Five decades later and no one will forget the name Tedd Webb.STORIES OTHERS ARE CLICKING ON-
