TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – A woman was arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash that injured a pedestrian on Davis Islands on Tuesday night, police said. 

Danielle Swanson, 34, was arrested for driving under the influence with serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of a crash with serious bodily injury and driving under the influence, according to an arrest report. 

According to police, Swanson was driving northbound on E. Davis Boulevard when she struck a man who was crossing the street. Police said Swanson drove around the victim and left the scene.

The man was rushed to Tampa General Hosptial to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The incident was witnessed by another individual who followed Swanson’s vehicle to 17th Street and Nebraska Avenue and gave officers her tag number. 

Officers caught up with her near Palm and Nebraska avenues.

Jail records show Swanson’s blood alcohol level was found to be over 0.15. 

She was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail, where she is being held on a $10,000 bond.
