HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash on West Lumsden Road on Friday.

The crash happened between King Avenue South and Brandon Parkway, near the LaViva Shopping Plaza, just before 6:45 p.m.

According to Hillsborough deputies, a Nissan Altima driven by 20-year-old Jayson Upshaw Jr. was east on Lumsden Road and was in the left turn lane in front of the plaza when it happened. Investigators say the Nissan turned into the path of a Hummer H2 that was headed west on Lumsden Road.

The Hummer then hit the passenger side of the Nissan and flipped over onto the car.
