The subject of a Silver Alert is still missing after they were involved in a traffic crash on Saturday, officials said.
On Friday, the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert for Lyman “Lanny” Lovelien, 88, of Sebring, after he went missing from his home on Manatee Drive.
Cell phone records tracked him in Titusville Friday afternoon, but investigators believe he was involved in a crash in Manatee County Saturday and fled the scene.
He’s now believed to be in the St. Petersburg area, officials said.
