A brush fire that threatened a number of homes in Sebring Sunday has been contained with all evacuation orders lifted, officials said.

Multiple agencies responded to the Sebring Hills Barn Owl fire around 1 p.m. Sunday.

Officials said 25 homes were evacuated, one of which suffered minor damage when the siding melted off. Around 7 p.m., all of the residents were cleared to return home.

Investigators believe the blaze was caused by an ATV that caught fire when someone was riding it.

The fire knocked down multiple poles in its path, leaving many residents without power.

Firefighters are still at the scene dealing with the remaining hot spots.
