SPRING HILL, Fla (WFLA) – Hernando deputies are on the hunt for a serial robbery suspect and they are asking for the public’s help.

The man has targeted three dollar stores in Spring Hill in May and June.  He hit the same Dollar General on Mariner Boulevard twice. He hit a nearby Family Dollar on Northcliffe Boulevard once.

Denise Moloney with the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office says, while the thief prefers dollar stores, he doesn’t discriminate.

“He did hit one gas station in Citrus or Sumter County,” said Moloney. “But the rest of the time he goes for the Family Dollar or Dollar General Stores.”

Investigators say he’s targeted three stores in Hernando County, one in Citrus County and two in Sumter County.  In the most recent case, he implied he had a weapon but never produced one.

Moloney believes someone will recognize the man pictured in the surveillance photos.  Detectives want to catch him before he hits another store.

“The photos that we did put out, we want the public to take a really good look at his head,” said Moloney. “He has a very distinct hairline. It’s very receding and it’s bald in the back.”
