(CNN) — Former President Jimmy Carter today accomplishes something few presidents have – her turns 94.
George H.W. Bush is the oldest living former president, but only by a couple of months. Carter is the second-oldest. The last time a former president died was in December of 2006, when Gerald Ford passed away.
Trump was 70 years old at the time of his inauguration, making him the oldest person to be elected to the highest office. The second-oldest president was Ronald Reagan, who was 69 years old when he took office in 1981, according to ThoughtCo.com.
