Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Jeff Gooch was charged with driving under the influence in Hillsborough County Sunday morning.
The Florida Highway Patrol arrested Gooch on the Veterans Expressway, south of Hutchison Road, around 2:30 a.m. He posted $500 bond and was released before 11 a.m. Sunday
Gooch is the vice president of football operations for the Tampa Bay Storm arena football team. He played for the Bucs from 1996-2001 and then played with the Detroit Lions from 2002-2003. He came back to Tampa to play with the Bucs from 2004-2005 season.
