Only in Florida could an alligator be responsible for disrupting a flight.
A gator’s casual stroll on the tarmac caused a flight delay at Orlando International Airport on Monday, WESH reports.
A passenger, Anthony Velardi told the affiliate his Spirit Airlines flight had just landed when the pilot came over the speaker and said “Believe it or not, there is a gator on the runway and we are waiting for it to cross.”
According to Velardi, the gator quickly made its way to a pond near the runway and the plane was able to make it to the gate with just a minimal delay.
