Cell phone video captured a train coming within feet of a school bus in Seminole County, Florida.

The shocking video was shared on Facebook.

The video was filmed by a parent on a street right down the tracks from the Sunrail Train Station.

According to Seminole County transportation director Julie Murphy, the driver pulled up to the tracks and stopped because the arm was down.

After several minutes without a train coming by, the arms went back up and the driver could see the train sitting at the station, so she assumed it was safe to cross.

As she started across the tracks, the arms went back down, so, as she was trained to do, she stopped because the bus was far away enough from the tracks to not be in danger.

The driver followed her training and stayed put because if she had tried to back up, she could’ve possibly hit a pedestrian or a car. And if she had tried to go across the rails, she would take the risk of not getting completely over the tracks.

“She saved like 20 plus lives,” said safety manager Bryant Rivera.
