VERO BEACH, Fla. – A Florida man is alive after a sheriff’s deputy pulled him from a burning car. The rescue was caught on dash camera video.

Indian River County Sheriff’s Office deputy David Dozer responded to a 9-1-1 call about the car crash in Vero Beach Sunday night.

The video shows the officer walking up to the blaze and helping the man to safety.

Officials said the driver was airlifted to a burn center in Orlando, where he’s still being treated.

This is the second heroic fiery car rescue for the sheriff’s office in the past two months.
