TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has obtained video of a woman that was taken days before she was reported missing in Florida.
In the video, taken by hikers, the woman, 31-year-old Paola Miranda-Rosa is seen swimming in the Wekiva River at Wekiwa Springs State Park.
Hikers submitted the video to deputies, then it was shown to relatives of Miranda-Rosa who confirmed it was her, authorities said.
Miranda-Rosa was last seen by her family on Dec. 17. She was reported missing the next day. Her vehicle was found at the park two days later, according to deputies.
No foul play is suspected in her disappearance, authorities say, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
Search crews have been combing the park and a 4.5-mile stretch of the river the with planes, drones, boats, divers and bloodhounds, but Miranda-Rosa has not been found. They plan to use a new portable underwater camera that will help them see in low-visibility areas.
Those with information about Miranda-Rosa’s disappearance are asked to call detectives at 407-348-2222.
