VIDEO: Man steals pit bull from Florida home

A Florida man is hoping someone will recognize a man who was caught on camera stealing his 8-month-old pit bull “Stella.”

Police eleased video showing a man exit a gold Chevrolet Impala and steal from a mailbox in front of a home in Davie.  They say the man returned two days later to commit another crime—stealing the homeowner’s pit bull. 

Security cameras captured the man go into the home and walk off with the friendly pit bull, who is seen wagging its tail as its being led away on a leash. 

Police said the dog is a black-and-white pit bull weighing 83 pounds. She has a mole on the left side of her nose, a bluish-gray left eye and a bluish-white right eye.

The suspect is described as a thin male with his hair in a “man bun,” He was wearing a fluorescent lime green vest with orange stripes, patterned blue shorts and a hat when the theft occurred.

“What was taken was my heart,” the dog’s owner, Terrell Harris, 34, told WSVN. “That’s my dog. This is my love, man. I’ll do whatever I have to do to get my dog back. This is a part of my family.”
