The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating a Snapchat video that appears to show an alligator being dragged behind an ATV in Volusia County.

In the video, a man drags a tied-up alligator behind his ATV in south Volusia County.

The approximately 8-foot gator is said to have been dragged because it was blocking traffic.

Investigators said that even if the man was trying to help, he should have called 911 or FWC.

A trapper and FWC officer were going to the man’s home Monday night in Mims. They said they planned to recover the alligator, which was still alive in his yard.
