Authorities say a University of Miami student was found slain in his off-campus apartment.
Miami-Dade police tell news outlets that a roommate found 23-year-old Yasser Talal Ibrahim Abualfaraj dead on Sunday afternoon.
A statement from the university says officials there are working with investigators to determine what happened.
According to police, the student was found with “multiple signs of trauma” and blood was present outside the door to his second floor apartment some three blocks from the campus.
School officials tell the Miami Herald that Abualfaraj was a third-year architecture student.
Architecture classes were canceled on Monday so students could grieve.
