ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA/NBC) – Prosecutors say the Pulse nightclub shooter’s original target was the Disney Spring Entertainment Center.
Prosecutors revealed that on Wednesday during closing arguments in the trial of Noor Salman, the widow of nightclub shooter Omar Mateen.
Surveillance video was released in court, showing Mateen walking around the Disney Springs complex.
Mateen can be seen walking near the House of Blues club in the hours before the Pulse attack.
He looks behind him at police officers stand nearby, before deciding to leave.
Noor Salman is accused of helping her husband with the 2016 attack that left 49 people dead.
Salman is charged with obstruction and providing material support to a terrorist organization and faces up to life in prison if convicted.
Her attorneys say she had no knowledge that Mateen was planning the attack.
The jury began deliberating the case on Wednesday.
