Disney World’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party made its return to Magic Kingdom on Aug. 17.

As ghouls and goblins entered the park, they were treated to experiences brand new to the event this year.

New pirates have invaded the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Disney World-goers will join the search for Gunpowder Pete, a pirate searching for the same treasure sought by Captain Jack Sparrow.

The Mad Tea Party Ride will get a new look with festival Halloween lighting and other effects during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary party.

A new soundtrack will be played in Space Mountain.

Finally, Storybook Circus will welcome a dance party called Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam, a party featuring Disney Junior characters like Doc McStuffins.

Other yearly events include the return of the Sanderson Sisters as part of the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular on the castle stage, the Happy HalloWishes fireworks show, trick-or-treating locations and the Headless Horseman leading the Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade.

This year’s party occurs on 34 select nights from Aug. 17 through Oct. 31.
