PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Two children reported missing in Putnam County were found safe in a wooded area on Monday.
NBC affiliate WESH reports the two children, 10-year-old Susanne Marie Morrison and 8-year-old Samuel Josiah Morrison, were last seen in their home around 5 a.m. Monday.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office launched a massive air and ground search in the area of West Peniel Road and State Road 19 South.
The children were found around 1:15 p.m.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission assisted in the search.
