Two Florida teens have been sentenced to life in prison for a 2016 drive-by shooting that left a toddler dead.
The Florida Times-Union reports that 19-year-olds Henry Lee Hayes and Kquame Riguan Richardson were both sentenced Thursday. They were found guilty last month of charges including first-degree murder by separate juries. Both were juveniles at the time of the shooting, so their cases will be eligible for review in 25 years.
Authorities say 22-month-old Aiden McClendon was fatally shot in Jacksonville in January 2016. Investigators say Aiden’s teenage cousin was targeted by rival gang members.
