VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WESH) – An Ormond Beach area couple says someone broke into their mobile home on Sunny Palm Drive over the weekend and stole five newborn puppies.
Stephanie Keenan and Eric Anderson say the puppies just opened their eyes a few days ago and that the mother, Snowflake, was still nursing.
WESH 2 News obtained pictures of the Silkie Yorkie/Chihuahua mix puppies.
The thieves took a few other valuables, including some of Anderson’s work tools, but it’s the animals they are worried about.
“I’m just devastated, you know, you feel unsafe, you feel violated. For someone to just come in and go through everything and take what they want, it’s just, it’s cruel, it’s evil,” Keenan said.
The couple says the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
They’re hoping a neighbor’s surveillance camera may have caught something.
