Florida native and former Dallas Cowboy Michael Irvin is cancer free.

Irvin was in the hospital this week after throat doctors decided to give him a throat biopsy. Irwin says throat cancer runs in his family.

Irvin took to Instagram on Sunday thanking God for answering his prayers of being cancer free.

The wide receiver played for the Cowboys during the team’s three Super Bowl championship wins.  He attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale and also played for the University of Miami Hurricanes.
