ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Firefighters were able to rescue a horse after a large tree fell on the animal during a storm in Alachua County Friday.
The Alachua County Fire Rescue said Sietske, a 14-year-old horse, became trapped after a giant oak tree came crashing down, pinning her significantly.

“We’re happy to say that she was successfully rescued and is resting comfortably this evening under the close supervision of a large animal veterinarian,” they said.
Several trees were reported downed after storms rolled through the area and other parts of Florida, including here in Tampa Bay.
