LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. – Police have charged a 13-year-old boy in a stabbing at the Florida nudist resort where he lives.
An 18-year-old woman was wounded Sunday at the Sunsport Gardens Naturist Resort in Loxahatchee. Palm Beach County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Therese Barbera said in a news release Tuesday that the boy is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Authorities haven’t identified the woman, who arrived at the resort about 60 miles north of Miami by bicycle Saturday.
The teen has been taken to a juvenile detention center.
According to Sunsport Gardens general manager Morley Schloss, the woman described the attack on a walking trail as unprovoked.
Schloss says the teen is among other children who live at the resort with their families, but he will not be permitted to return.
