Several law enforcement agencies across central Florida announced the arrest of four men who are connected to the thefts of more than 150 stolen weapons.
Attorney General Pam Bondi says authorities arrested Richard Jernigan, 30, Robert Tilmon, 31, Raymond Williams, 28, and Jermeil Williams, 28, in connection to the burglaries.
Investigators are still looking for Kentric Collier, 28, who is referred to as one of central Florida’s most wanted.
The men are accused of being involved with numerous armed burglaries of firearms and selling the weapons over several years in Orange, Seminole and Polk counties. Several jurisdictions within those counties participated in the investigation.
Authorities are accusing the men of selling more than 30 weapons from Titan Arms in Lakeland two years ago.
Officials said cars were driven into gun shops in some of the burglaries, while sledgehammers and pry bars were used in others.
“They’re taking these guns, stealing them, turning them back over into the streets and those are the guns that we see every day used in shooting incidents in central Florida,” said FDLE Orlando Special Agent in Charge Danny Banks.
Investigators have recovered roughly 35 of the 156 stolen guns.
The group is also being charged for being involved with burglaries that targeted cash, electronics, firearm stores, jewelry and safes.
The Attorney General Office of Statewide Prosecution will prosecute the case.
