PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – Deputies in Palm Beach County arrested three people who are accused of operating an illegal slaughterhouse.
Deputies made the arrests at the Loxahatchee Groves Farm which is located in the 15700 block of 43rd Road North.
The sheriff’s office said an animal rights group called Animal Recovery Mission (ARM) assisted with the investigation. The Animal Recovery Mission is based in Miami.
WPTV reported that ARM said chickens, goats, sheep, and pigs were being slaughtered without a license. The meat was sold to businesses and residences from Palm Beach County to Miami.
