SANIBEL, Fla. (WFLA/WBBH) – A large turtle was admitted to a wildlife rehab clinic in Sanibel, Florida on Thursday.
She’s a whopping 290 pounds!
The loggerhead turtle was rescued by a nature tour company!
She’s being treated for suspected red tide poisoning at The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife.
The toxic algae has been causing numerous problems across Florida this summer.
