LAKE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Two missing girls were found safe Friday after being abducted from a foster home in Central Florida, according to authorities.

An Amber Alert was issued Thursday afternoon after two young girls went missing late Wednesday night.

According to the sheriff’s office, the two girls went missing from a residence located on Companero Drive in Sorrento, Florida.

The girls were said to be taken by their biological mother, Dixie Stumpner Williams.

NBC affiliate WESH reported that law enforcement found the girls in Louisiana. Stumpner Williams was also arrested on charged of kidnapping.
