SHALIMAR, Fla. (AP) — Two Florida men face murder charges in the deaths of their infant children.
According to a News Herald report , State Attorney Bill Eddins announced Tuesday that an Okaloosa County grand jury indicted 20-year-old Jared Leevan Johnson for first-degree felony murder.
Authorities said Johnson’s 5-month-old son died a day after being left alone at Johnson’s home in Shalimar in November 2016. An autopsy found the infant suffered multiple blunt impact injuries.
Separately, 22-year-old Dekari Rashard Castell of Orlando was arrested Monday on charges of first-degree felony murder and aggravated child abuse.
In a WFTV report , authorities said Castell told several different stories about his 6-month-old daughter’s death this month. A police report said the baby suffered skull fractures and other injuries.
Both men were held without bond. Jail records didn’t show whether they had attorneys.STORIES OTHERS ARE CLICKING ON-
