Though flu activity remains at low levels statewide, two Florida children have died from influenza so far.
According to the Florida Department of Health, one child was not vaccinated and had no underlying medical conditions.
The second victim was also not vaccinated, but had underlying medical conditions.
Flu activity is expected to increase in coming weeks.
The DOH urges those who have not yet been vaccinated for the 2018-19 season should do so as soon as possible.
