MIAMI (WFLA/WPLG) – Two Roman Catholic priests are in trouble with the law after authorities in Miami Beach say they were caught in a very compromising position.
Authorities got a call about the two men performing sex acts in a car in broad daylight, around 3:30 p.m.
Police said they showed up and the windows of the car were not tinted.
“Our officer was able to observe the act. In fact to get their attention, he had to knock on the window,” said Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department.
The priests told police they came from Chicago and Colombia.
Edwin Giraldo Cortez appeared in court using an interpreter.
Diego Berrio was also arrested.
Both men were charged with lewd and lascivious behavior.
The incident happened on Miami Beach’s world famous Ocean Drive, near a children’s playground.
The entire incident, according to the report, was also caught on police body camera video.
