(WCMH) – A Philippine Airlines flight attendant is being praised for going above and beyond during a flight Tuesday.

Flight attendant Patrisha Organo said sometime after takeoff, she heard an in infant crying.

“A cry that will make you want to do anything to help,” she said in a Facebook post. “I approached the mother and asked if everything’s okay.”

The mother told Organo that her child is hungry, but she was out of formula.

“Passengers started looking and staring at the tiny, fragile crying infant,” Organo said. “There’s no formula milk onboard. I thought to myself, there’s only one thing I could offer and that’s my own milk.”

Organo took the child to a private area on the aircraft where she could feed the infant, Yahoo Lifestyle reported.

“The other passengers had no idea what was going on,” she recalls. “The baby was so hungry, the way she latched on.”

Organo told Yahoo Lifestyle she recognized a look of relief in the mother’s eyes when her child was able to eat.

“In my early days of breastfeeding, I would really like to give up, but because I have the strong support of my husband, I kept going,” she told Yahoo. “He kept encouraging me. It was a storm of emotion and without my husband’s support, I could never do it.”
