(WFLA/CNN) – Space travel is on the horizon, but there are some practical problems that need to be hashed out before the masses suit up in a shuttle.
Namely… how will travelers celebrate their big venture?
Champagne house Mumm is taking the task very seriously.
The company is working to create a bubbly libation fit for zero gravity.
For three years, Mumm has been perfecting the “Cordon Stellar,” which it says will be drunk surrounded by the stars in the next few years.
A French astronaut was tasked with taste-testing the champagne is a zero gravity simulator.
The fizz comes out of the bottle as a foam that can be either caught in a glass or drank straight out of the air.
