A local daycare driver is facing charges for leaving a child in her van, alone, as the temperature climbed to over 100 degrees, according to police.
A good Samaritan helped prevent what could have been a tragic situation.
A 3-year-old boy was visiting a movie theater in Leesburg with a group from his day care center and was left inside the day care van in the parking lot in 90-degree weather.
Leesburg parents were relieved to know a woman passing by at the time heard the little boy crying and was able to get him out of the van safely.
