An Ohio mother is facing DUI and child endangering charges after police said she was involved in a drunken car crash with her children in the car.
Police said the crash happened just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday night .
The driver of one of the vehicles, 28-year-old Lucy McCarty, had run a red light and caused the crash, according to witnesses at the scene.
Police said McCarty smelled of alcohol and appeared confused as to what happened.
She admitted to drinking “a couple” of alcohol beverages at a friend’s birthday party, according to a police report.
