(WFLA) – Counties in the Tampa Bay area are still experiencing power outages over a week after Hurricane Irma.

According to the Duke Energy outage site, the following counties will be “mostly restored” by 11 p.m. Tuesday:

  • Hardee
  • Highlands
  • Polk
  • Volusia
  • Northern Orange and Lake County borders

Duke Energy said electrical systems in many of those areas suffered “significant damage and will require reconstruction.”

Duke Energy released the following numbers, noting that outage numbers may fluctuate as restoration efforts continue and new, non-hurricane related outages are reported:

Citrus County: 98 outage customers, 48,359 restored customers – Most Irma-related outages restored

Hardee County: 116 outage customers, 4,796 restored customers – Estimated time of restoration is Tuesday at 11 p.m.

Hernando County: 24 outage customers, 11,911 restored customers – Most Irma-related outages restored

Highlands County: 2,327 outage customers, 96,570 restored customers – Estimated time of restoration is Tuesday at 11 p.m.

Hillsborough County: 0 outage customers, 34 restored customers – Most Irma-related outages restored

Pasco County: 29 outage customers, 156,038 restored customers – Most Irma-related outages restored

Pinellas County: 278 outage customers, 706,989 restored customers – Most Irma-related outages restored

Polk County: 2,350 outage customers, 111,565 restored customers – Estimated time of restoration is Tuesday at 11 p.m.

Lakeland Electric is reporting that 1,973 people remain without power as of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The company said that number will continue to drop as over 420 power personnel continue restoration efforts.
