A teacher who came under fire for creating racially charged podcasts is leaving the classroom behind.

Dayanna Volitich, 25, resigned from her teaching job at Crystal River Middle School on Monday.

The social studies teacher sent a resignation letter to the Citrus County School Board.

Using the name “Tiana Dalichov,” Volitich posted on video blogs, letting people know her white nationalist views.

On one blog, she told viewers certain races don’t learn as well as other.

She spoke of the need for Muslims to be eradicated from the earth.

The school superintendent removed Volitich from the classroom as an investigation began, but she maintained her views were satire and exaggeration, meant to attract followers.

A Citrus School Board assistant says its investigation is ongoing.

The school board must accept Volitich’s resignation at a meeting on April 10.
