CINCINNATI, Ohio (WFLA/NBC) – The Cincinnati Zoo hosted a launch party on Tuesday for a new illustrated book all about the zoo’s famed hippopotamus, Fiona.
The book, titled “Fiona the Hippo,” tells the story of Fiona, the hippo who was born prematurely at the zoo.
She beat the odds and now lives a full, happy life, inspiring millions around the world with her journey.
The book was published by Zonderkids and features art by New York Times best-selling illustrator Richard Cowdrey, a Cincinnati native.
A party was held at the zoo on Tuesday where Cowdrey signed the books and his illustrations for kids.
