An Indiana church decided to make its stance on immigration known with a bold statement.

The Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Indianapolis put statues of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus inside a chain link fence on their front lawn.

The church’s dean told WRTV the display is part of a new “Every Family is Holy” campaign. It’s meant to bring awareness and condemn the Trump administration’s zero-tolerance policy on immigration.

He says Jesus, Mary and Joseph were also once homeless and fled danger to seek asylum.

“The Holy Family today calls us to stand with all families seeking safety and a future for their children,” the church said in a statement. “We will not stand by while children are being taken from their parents, and families are being taken from our communities and congregations.

“People of good will and faith must not allow this to continue,” the statement reads. “We must not be divided by race, language or culture, but reach out to care for our neighbors—because every family is sacred.”
