Good news for Cabela, the poor pup that was found shot and tied to the railroad tracks in Tampa. After surgeries and treatment, she was released to protective custody, Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency Service posted on their Facebook page.
The vet says Cabela is “Hiding to heal, socialize and begin her transition to a new life.”
Tampa Police officers found and rescued Cabela from the train tracks just 10 days ago. The veterinarians fought to save Cabela’s life and her leg that was full of the bullet fragments.
They succeeded, and the pup started a long road to recovery. She is feeling much better and can now be released to protective custody, the vet said. They will not reveal where she is going.
Authorities arrested two teens and two adults in connection with Cabela’s case. Only one of them was released on bond.
