Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, better known lately as Fitzmagic, addressed the media Thursday for the first time since Jameis Winston has been reinstated.
Fitzpatrick says he’s allowing Coach Dirk Koetter to make and handle that the decision. “We trust him 100 percent, so in this situation, it’s what the coach wants, so it’s what we’ll do,” Fitzpatrick said.
He said communication is the most important thing and to be honest with the team.
Fitzpatrick was asked if he told his kids yet if he’s starting. He joked that he can’t trust his kids with anything so he hasn’t told them. “They’ll know later in the week,” he said.
However, sports writer Scott Reynolds at our partner PewterReport.com says that Fitzpatrick will start this week against the Chicago Bears.
Fitzpatrick is off to a historic start to the season, becoming the first quarterback to throw for 400 yards in three consecutive games in NFL history.
Jameis Winston, considered the franchise quarterback, will serve as the team’s backup QB when they head to Chicago.
