UPDATE: Bartow Police say 11-year-old Tyler Tinsley has been found safe Friday morning.
BARTOW, FL (WFLA) — The Bartow Police Department is searching for a missing 11-year-old who didn’t return home after leaving Bartow Middle School Thursday.
Tyler Tinsley, 11, was last seen in the area of Mann Road and Lila Street in Bartow. The police department was notified around 6:30 p.m.
Officers began to search known areas that Tyler frequents and known contacts with no results. During this search, officers learned that Tyler was seen in the area of Mann Road and Lila Street at around 8:49 p.m. Tyler was walking alone and did not appear to be in distress at that time.
Tyler was last observed wearing a dark blue hoodie jacket, blue Bartow Middle School shirt, khaki cargo shorts and black tennis shoes. Tyler is about 4’9″ in height and weighs 87 pounds. Tyler has blue eyes and light blonde hair which is short and crew cut. Tyler may be carrying a dark colored backpack with super heroes figures screen printed on the outside.
