DALLAS, Texas (WFLA/KTVT) – There was a coming-out party of sorts at the Dallas Zoo on Thursday when a baby gorilla born last month made its public debut.
It’s the zoo’s first critically endangered gorilla born in 20 years.
The baby western lowland gorilla doesn’t have a name yet.
The zoo hasn’t been able to confirm its gender, because its adoring mother has been keeping the baby very close.
Zookeepers are hoping to figure that out in the next few weeks.
