BROWARD COUNTY, FL (WFLA) – An attorney is prohibited from any Broward County Sheriff’s Office facility after being accused of having sex with an inmate at the Main Jail in South Florida.

The alleged incident happened at the attorney interview area. The deputy patrolling the rooms saw a female lawyer bent over at the waist with her skirt up and a male inmate standing behind her, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s incident report. They appeared to be “engaged in … sexual intercourse,” according to the report.

The attorney was Jessica Mishali David, 35. The inmate whose body was “pressed firmly” against hers, was Ysreal Granda, 26, in jail on attempted murder charges. David was the lead attorney in that murder case, NBC Miami reported.

The deputy who caught them said he couldn’t observe any “exposed sexual organs,” because the two were really close to each other.

Granda was taken back to his cell, David was banned from all Broward Sheriff’s facilities for “any reason either personal or professional,” according to BCSO.

David’s attorneys told NBC Miami on the phone that the accusations are false and that no crime has been charged. They added they will continue to fight for their clients.

David was not arrested after the alleged incident. Detectives with the Sex Crimes and Special Victims interviewed her and the inmate and escorted him back to his cell and her off the jail property.

David didn’t comment on the incident for the media.MORE CRIME STORIES:
