You can take an underwater tour of the springs from the comfort of a boat at Silver Springs Park.
The “Glass Bottom Boats” is one of Florida’s oldest attractions letting you see below the surface of the water and enjoy the river’s wildlife, vegetation, and historical and cultural artifacts.
From Native American artifacts like a rowboat brought by early Spanish settlers to movie props from the days of Hollywood productions in the park, the springs are full of discovery.
Glass Bottom Boat tours run every 30-45 minutes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
It costs $11 for adults and $10 for kids.
If you want to know everything about Silver Springs, the extended boat tour will take you on a 90-minute excursion, travel deeper along the Silver River and discover the rich history of the springs.
The boat captain will point out wildlife along the shores and below the water along the way.
The extended tours run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m.
