Another suspicious package addressed to CNN was intercepted Monday morning, according to officials with the news agency.

The CNN communications team says the latest package was intercepted at an Atlanta post office.

President Jeff Zucker released a note to let employees know there is no imminent danger to CNN Center. The building serves as the world headquarters for CNN and is located in Atlanta.

“All mail, at all CNN domestic bureaus, is being screened at off-site facilities as of last Wednesday, so this package would NOT have come directly to the CNN Center, even if it hadn’t been intercepted first,” Zucker said. “Our screening process is working and we will keep you updated as we learn more.”

Last Wednesday, a package containing an explosive was found in the mailroom of CNN’s office in New York City. It was addressed to former CIA director John Brennan. Another package was intercepted Friday in Manhattan. Authorities said the second was intended for former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and was addressed to CNN’s New York City offices.

The packages sent to CNN were among at least a dozen suspected mail bombs that were sent last week to prominent Democrats and others. On Friday, authorities arrested 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc for the bombs.

There is no information yet about what was in the package intercepted in Atlanta on Monday.
