The FBI announced a $15,000 reward for information that leads them to the subject of an Amber Alert. 

Police in Lumberton, North Carolina say 13-year-old Hania Noleia Aguilar was waiting for a ride to school when she was grabbed from a yard in the Rosewood Mobile Home Park at about 7 a.m. Monday morning. 

On Wednesday, authorities released a photo Wednesday of the SUV wanted in connection with her kidnapping.

The stolen 2002 green Ford Expedition was caught on a surveillance camera in Lumberton just minutes after Hania was taken, according to the FBI.

The man forced Aguilar into a green 2002 Ford Expedition registered a relative of Aguilar. The vehicle has a South Carolina license plate NWS-984 and was last seen leaving the mobile home park turning left onto Elizabethtown Road.

The paint on the hood is peeling and there is a Clemson sticker on the rear window, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Aguilar had the keys and started the SUV so that a family member could take her to school.

A neighbor called 911 to report the kidnapping after a family member went to help Aguilar.

A Spanish translator was called to assist with the 911, the FBI said.

After grabbing the child and forcing her into the stolen SUV, the man drove away. Aguilar was wearing a blue shirt with flowers and blue jeans. She is 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 126 pounds.

During a noon news conference on Monday, officials said they were checking area surveillance cameras and performing a door-to-door search.

“We all feel devastated and sad, and we are wanting everyone’s help to help us locate her, I hope God brings her back to us safe, she’s a good girl, I don’t know why they did that to her,” said the victim’s aunt Ermila Barrera.

“Investigators are interviewing witnesses family and friends as well as conducting a door to door canvas in the neighborhood and checking any surveillance to find out any information we can,” said Lumberton Police Chief Mike McNeil.

The AMBER Alert was issued at 9:54 a.m. Monday by the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.
