Wednesday could be a good day for online bargain shoppers, now that plenty of retailers are offering their own online sales in response to Amazon’s much hyped “Prime Day.”

Amazon is celebrating its 20th anniversary on July 15 with Prime Day, a sale that the online giant claims has more deals than Black Friday. The sale is open to Amazon Prime members. If shoppers are not members, they can get the deals by signing up for a free, 30-day trial membership to Amazon Prime.

It turns out that some of the Amazon Prime Day deals could even be better than those offered last Black Friday.Best Black Friday.com compared some of Amazon Prime Day prices with the lowest prices they found for last Black Friday.

Among the Amazon Prime Day deals that beat Black Friday prices: Fire HD 7 for $79 (best Black Friday price was $98.88 at Frye electronics) and the Fire HD 7 Kids Edition for $149.99 (best Black Friday price $189.99 at Amazon). However, you need to act fast to snag a deal. A quick check before noon on Wednesday found that these two deals had already been 100 percent claimed and customers wanting the deals had to be put on a wait list. See all Amazon Prime Day deals.

Other retailers are offering their own sales in an effort to snag some of the online shoppers trolling the web.
