Allegiant Air announced Friday the resignation of Steve Harfst, the company’s chief operating officer. The decision is effective immediately.
“We thank Steve for his contributions to Allegiant,” said Maurice J. Gallagher, Jr., chairman and CEO of Allegiant Travel Company. “We look forward to continuing his efforts to strengthen our operation.”
Harfst joined the Company as COO in December 2014. Prior to Allegiant, Harfst was the Chief Operating Officer at IndiGo Airlines based in New Delhi, India.
The company said it will use this leadership change as an opportunity to refocus on operational needs and areas for improvement.
